The HeatTech 50 sq ft electric radiant floor heating mat brings comfortable, even warmth to bathrooms, kitchens, entryways, and other tiled rooms. It runs on 240V, uses a single heating wire spaced 3" apart on fiberglass mesh, and rolls out in one continuous piece.

Why homeowners choose it

  • Comfort you notice right away: Radiant heat warms the floor surface itself, so tile and stone feel inviting.
  • Simple to install: The mesh has adhesive backing, so it holds in place while you lay it out.
  • Works with your flooring: Typically installed under tile and natural stone. Also suitable for laminate and certain types of hardwood.
  • Efficient at 600 watts: Draws just 2.5 amps and covers 50 sq ft, which works out to 12 watts per square foot.
  • Free shipping on every order

Combine Mats to Heat Up to 300 sq ft

Need more than 50 sq ft? Combine mats to warm the whole room. HeatTech 240V mats are sized to be combined, so you can heat a large bathroom, kitchen, sunroom, or open living area. Choose mat sizes that total the area you want to heat, and wire them in parallel to the same thermostat.

You can also mix sizes from our 240V mat lineup (for example, 100 + 100 + 100 sq ft) to match your room's shape with fewer connections.

Helpful tips

  • Each mat is sized for its footprint, so choose mats that fit the room without overlapping.
  • For 300 sq ft, one thermostat reaches its amp limit. Large rooms or multiple rooms are often better split into separate heating zones, each with its own thermostat.
  • Wiring and circuit sizing should be handled by a licensed electrician.
